In total, you'll find nine pools in the spa area, filled not only with thermal water but also saltwater or pH-neutral pearl water. There's also an outdoor pool, a whirlpool, and additional wellness offerings such as massages or moor packs to give you a fresh complexion.

Spreewald Thermenhotel in Brandenburg

In the Brandenburgian Spreewald, you can treat yourself to a break from the hectic everyday life. The eponymous Thermenhotel is connected directly to the spa by a bathrobe corridor, so you can leisurely stroll to the eight bathing pools, four saunas, steam bath, or extensive wellness area.

The healing water springs from a depth of 1,350 meters and, with its high salt content (23.9 percent), is one of the richest brines. It can be experienced in various forms in the bath. Six bathing pools and a warm outdoor pool with a current channel with temperatures between 18 and 38 degrees and different brine concentrations are available. Additionally, there's a steam bath and brine inhalation over cucumber barrels.

Sweat in the sauna while viewing the dunes and the North Sea: This is possible during a vacation at the Strandgut Resort in St. Peter Ording. The hotel has 98 rooms and suites (starting at 199 euros per night), some with sea or dune views.

There's direct access for guests to the 6,500 square meter Dunes Spa. It features various saunas like the 70-degree stilt sauna, the 80-degree birch sauna, or the hot block sauna, where temperatures can reach up to 100 degrees. For cooling down, head to a beach chair, the lounger in the dune garden, or the relaxation oasis. However, there is no thermal water in the spa.

There are also various treatments from scrubs to seaweed packs to Hammam ceremonies. The hotel stay can be combined with yoga courses, retreats, and fasting weeks.

Sante Royale in Bad Langensalza

Guests at the Sante Royale Hotel & Health Resort in Bad Langensalza can reach the Friederikentherme via a bathrobe corridor. There, you can relax in brine water as warm as 34 degrees, filling a total of four pools (with a salt content between 3 and 5 percent).

Visitors can sweat in one of the seven saunas, including a rose sauna, steam baths, a Finnish sauna, and an earth sauna. Special infusions take place regularly. Cosmetic and other wellness treatments are also bookable.

The four-star Sante Royale Hotel opened in 2017 and has 130 rooms. Those who want to explore the area a little during their rest will be satisfied in Bad Langensalza. The city in the Unstrut-Hainich district of Thuringia boasts the third-largest old town in the state. The Friederiken Palace is a sight to behold, and several gardens and parks invite relaxing walks, including a rose garden and a Japanese garden.

In this state-approved healing spring operation, they bathe in water that comes from a depth of 1,618 meters. It springs from the Chrysanti Spring and Konrad Spring, among the warmest thermal mineral springs in Central Europe at up to 70 degrees.

The water contains a fluoride sodium bicarbonate chloride mixture, which is said to support the circulatory system, as well as healing for venous and orthopedic conditions. You can swim in a 105-meter-long spa stream, one of the longest in Europe.

Additionally, the spa has eight saunas, a salt stone grotto, two relaxation rooms, a fireplace room, and an infrared chamber.

Hotel an der Therme Bad Orb in Hesse

In this hotel, too, the surrounding nature plays a big role: The Hotel an der Therme Bad Orb is located in Hesse, surrounded by the forested mountains of the Spessart Nature Park.

The property features 112 rooms and suites, and guests staying there have direct access to the Toskana Therme. You can swim in 35-degree warm brine or one of the other six thermal pools or sweat in one of the seven saunas. Spa treatments are also available for booking.

Der Steirerhof in Bad Waltersdorf has thermal healing water sourced from a depth of 1,200 meters directly through the hotel's own pipeline. The 7132 Hotel in Switzerland

An elaborately designed hotel with a fitting spa is the 7132 Hotel in Switzerland. The spa was built from 60,000 pieces of Valser quartzite and even placed under heritage protection. The healing water comes from the St. Peter's spring and provides deep relaxation with its high mineral content and a pleasant temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius.

In addition to the indoor bath, you can also expect a warm outdoor area and unique baths such as the fire, ice, or flower bath. An extensive wellness offering and an in-house hair salon complete your break.
