There is no hotel in the world more talked about than the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. This luxurious hotel set out to break all records from the very beginning and markets itself as a seven-star hotel, although the official rating ends at five stars.

The architecture alone is spectacular: The Burj Al Arab stands like a sail amidst the Dubai skyline. It features nine restaurants and bars, a gigantic spa, and all things exclusive: a rooftop helipad, private butler service, and check-in on iPads plated with gold.

An overnight stay in the cheapest suite-there are no regular rooms, only suites-costs around 1100 Euros, with the most expensive accommodation being the Royal Suite, which has hosted Justin Bieber. Price: from 11,000 Euros.

What Dubai can do, Abu Dhabi can do for a long time-or at least that's what one might think when comparing the two emirates and their luxury hotels. A rivalry? Quite possible. The Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is definitely luxurious.

It boasts a private beach and marina and offers services for the wealthy-from a personal butler to a private helicopter or jet. With a bit of luck, you can snag a room starting at around 250 Euros in the off-season. Typically, room prices start from 500 Euros, with suites beginning at 1000 Euros.

The concept of a seven-star hotel is also significant in Italy. In Milan, the Townhouse Galleria in the chic shopping arcade Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II has been a luxurious fixture since 2007-and was even renamed 'Seven Stars Galleria'. The upscale hotel is situated directly above Prada.

The hotel obtained a seven-star certificate upon opening, which has not been renewed, but the luxury remains unbroken. The hotel has 25 suites, each uniquely furnished. Every guest, regardless of gender, has a butler at their service. Bookings start at about 1250 Euros per night, and breakfast costs an additional 30 Euros per person.

An overnight stay in a basic room starts at about 500 Euros, while the most expensive suite starts from 25,000 Euros per night.

Interestingly, the hotel complex is designed to resemble the landscape of Lake Como. It features a 3.2-hectare artificial lake, a luxury shopping arcade, a casino, and two wedding chapels. With some luck, you can snag a room starting at around 250 Euros in the off-season, though regular prices are higher, beginning at 600 Euros. A resort fee of $45 applies per room.

Much like the Plaza in New York, the Ritz in London is a legend: Everywhere you look, it sparkles and glistens. The Tea Room Palm Court, styled after Louis XVI, is famous, with guests including Queen Elizabeth, Winston Churchill, and Charlie Chaplin, who enjoyed their afternoon tea there.

The hotel's former ballroom houses the Ritz Club Casino, known as one of Europe's most exclusive privately run casinos. Antalya might be known for package holidays, but it has more to offer in the popular vacation destination. The Mardan Palace is considered one of Turkey's most extravagant hotels. With a construction investment of 1.6 billion US dollars, the cost to stay reflects that. During the off-season's colder months, rooms start at around 220 Euros, but in the summer, room rates climb to approximately 900 Euros.

Allegedly, 10,000 square meters of gold leaf, 500,000 crystals, and 23,000 square meters of Italian marble were used in the construction. Amenities include the largest pool in the Mediterranean, a vast spa, and a private artificial beach made from Egyptian sand.
