After London, New York and Dubai, the unusual experience of Dinner in the Sky is coming to Arcachon this summer

After the success in cities such as Beirut, Casablanca, Lisbon, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Brussels and New York, the unusual gastronomic experience Dinner in the Sky is coming to the Bay of Arcachon this summer. For five days, from 29 to 3 July, some 770 people will be able to attend a lunch, dinner and other "gourmet break", suspended in the air.

Eating in the air in Arcachon

Imagine: in the sky overArcachon, 50 metres above the ground, 22 people are gathered around a table suspended in the air. In the center, a small kitchen area allows the chefs to prepare and serve the refined dishes that will be served to the guests during two lunches and two dinners per day, enhanced by three "gourmet breaks", during which pastry and chocolate chefs will take turns. This is the winning recipe for this concept, which originated in Belgium and is being emulated in 70 countries around the world.

Why the Arbousiers beach? Because it offers one of the most beautiful views of the Bay of Arcachon, with landscapes that change with the tides. One can observe kitesurfers, paddleboarders and windsurfers between the sea and the maritime pines.

Dinner in the sky, an unusual gastronomic experience

According to the organisers, the experience is based on the notions of "surprise" and "discovery". Regarding the latter, the Dinner in the sky experience in Arcachon will feature several local chefs, pastry chefs and chocolate makers: the two-starred chef Stéphane Carrade, from the Hôtel Ha(a)ïtza, the emblematic 5-star hotel of the Bassin d'Arcachon, but also the starred chef Thierry Renou, as well as Grégory Colantuono, Brice Tomico and Olivier Pemerle.

On the sweet side, the artisan pastry chefs Antony Prunet, Benoît Audebert and Matthieu Guignard, the chocolate maker Hasnaâ and the best worker in France Pierre Mirgalet will be in charge of treating the participants with their sweets.

In addition to the taste experience, Dinner in the sky allows participants - weather permitting - to enjoy an unforgettable view of the Arcachon basin. To take part in this unique experience does come at a price: 265 euros for lunch, 295 euros for dinner and 75 euros for the gourmet break.
