Best Things to Do:

The 'Disney Wish', the new cruise ship of the Disney Cruise Line, is set to set sail in mid-July. From the outside, it looks like a normal ship, but inside, it's a Disney fan's dream come true.

The 'Disney Wish' leaves the dock of the shipyard where it was built for the first time. There's not much room to spare.

Attention Disney fans! Soon, you'll feel like you're in a movie during your vacation. The 'Disney Wish', the new cruise ship from the Papenburg Meyer shipyard, set off towards Emden on March 30, from where it will head across the North Sea to the USA.

On July 14, the 1,119-foot ocean giant, with the fairy tale character Rapunzel on its stern, will embark on its maiden voyage. But what truly delights Disney fans is the ship's interior.

'Disney Wish': Décor intended to bring movies to life

It seems the décor is meant to bring Disney movies to life: a restaurant glitters in white, looking like it was taken straight from the film 'Frozen'. The futuristic ceiling lights in another venue make passengers feel like they're aboard an 'Avengers' spaceship.

In the 'Star Wars'-themed Hyperspace Lounge, it wouldn't be surprising if Luke Skywalker stops by for a drink. Also, several Disney princesses have secured a cabin on board - and are ready for selfies with fans. A video from Disney Cruise Line shows images from inside the ship.

Not only will the ship's interior have the typical Disney style, but so will the entertainment program. The evening shows in the gold-turquoise theater continue to tell the famous fairy tales.

During a treasure hunt across the ship, self-proclaimed junior detectives help Mickey and Minnie via the Disneyland app to find the lost shards of a wishing star. Will they get to make a wish themselves in the end?

The cost of a cruise on the 'Disney Wish'

The 'Disney Wish' sets sail from Port Canaveral in Florida (USA) for its fully booked maiden voyage with guests on board. In over 1,250 cabins, around 4,000 Disney fans will dream of their favorite movies.

Two people pay 2,573 euros for three nights in an interior cabin. For a room with a veranda, they need to add about 350 euros. For fans from the United States, there are additional costs for the flight to Florida. Budget-conscious travelers should wait for the off-peak season.

Internally, it's said to be the most complex cruise ship ever built. 'We are convinced that the 'Disney Wish' will surprise the cruise industry and Disney fans with some unique features,' says Jan Meyer, managing director of Meyer shipyard.
