The approach of New Year's Eve always manages to send everyone into a crisis! Everyone starts wondering what to do and where to go, but most of the time you look around and find nothing interesting. 1 - New Year's Eve in Venice: Concert at La Fenice Theatre
Venice is undoubtedly the most romantic and evocative city in Italy, so what better place to wait for the New Year? There is certainly no shortage of celebrations and important events on New Year's Eve.
Our proposal is the opera concert at the Teatro la Fenice, which has been held every year since 2004. The show will be repeated four times: Thursday 29 December at 8pm, Friday 30 December at 5pm, Saturday 31 at 4pm and Sunday 1 January at 12.20pm, the latter show will be broadcast live nationally on RAI1.
The first part of the concert, as usual, will be exclusively orchestral. The second part, on the other hand, will also see the participation of soloists and choir, and will conclude as usual with the"Va' pensiero" from Nabucco and the toast"Libiam ne' lieti calici" from Giuseppe Verdi's Traviata.

2 - New Year's Eve in Milan: unbridled movida between pubs and discos
Although this year the concert in Piazza Duomo preceding midnight has been cancelled due to high bills, nothing is lost!
Because Milan remains the undisputed city of nightlife and entertainment, and anyone can choose it without a second thought. Parties, shows and concerts are organised in clubs, theatres and discos. For example, at the Auditorium, the Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Chorus of Milan will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor op. 125 on the occasion of the New Year's Eve Concert, offered for four dates in a row from 29 December to 1 January.
At the Blue Note in Via Borsieri you can toast the New Year cheered by the notes of theHarlem Gospel Choir.

3 - New Year's Eve in Florence: events in the squares and concert at the theatre
Photo by Martin Falbisoner. New Year's Eve has always been full of events in beautiful Florence. The main places to wait for the New Year are Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazza della Signoria and Piazza del Carmine.
Concerts with big names in national music, live bands and touring orchestras, as well as performances by street artists, jugglers and family activities are organised here every year.
But among the various proposals, there is a real tradition not to be missed, namely the New Year's Eve Concert at the Verdi Theatre (scheduled for the 1st at 5 p.m.), with a thrilling musical show that will welcome the New Year in the best possible way.

4 - New Year's Eve in Rome: Concertone or Cinecittà World
In the past, Rome has accustomed us to concerts, pyrotechnics, shows and grand performances. After a few years of silence, this year the New Year's Concertone returns, with artists such as Elodie, Franco126, Madame and Sangiovanni performing on the stage set up in front of the Colosseum.
But if you fancy something different, we can offer you a fun-filled alternative: New Year's Eve at Cinecittà World! The cinema-themed amusement park for all ages has organised a great New Year's Eve event.
The park will be open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., there will be themed dinners (Charleston, Roma, Saloon), 4 different discos to dance in, live shows and of course the New Year's Eve for Families option! 5 - New Year's Eve in Bologna: Falò del Vecchione or New Year's Eve FICO
Photo by Raffacossa. In Bologna, precisely in Piazza Maggiore, New Year's Eve has always been celebrated outdoors with music and dancing. Bolognese DJs and artists liven up the square, accompanying the night with live music. At the stroke of midnight, in addition to the toast to the New Year, there is the 'bonfire of the vecchione', the burning of the symbol of the year just ended.
Various events are also scheduled: from a concert at the Auditorium Manzoni to shows at the Municipal Theatre, the Fanin Theatre, the EuropAuditorium and the Duse Theatre.
But one of the most eagerly-awaited events is definitely the FICO New Year's Eve Taste of Fun, which is held at Fico Eataly World and offers 13 dinners, 4 dance floors, and fun until 5 am.

1 - Prague
For lovers of revelry, Prague is the queen of New Year's Eve. Midnight is of course waited on Clock Square, but the fireworks displays and celebrations start much earlier. As early as late in the evening, between 8pm and 9pm, the whole city, and in particular the square, comes alive with sounds, noises, colours and sparks accompanied by the ever-present smell of street food and, as soon as the New Year arrives, the discos start playing to get you grooving all night long!
But behind Prague's rowdy soul, there are also quiet concerts and atmospheric cruises along the Vltava River, a great alternative perhaps for quieter couples.

2 - Vienna

4 - Budapest

5 - Lisbon
