Bondoufle, whose inhabitants are called the Bondouflois, is a commune in France, located southeast of Paris in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region. Until the end of the 1960s, it was a Village of less than three hundred inhabitants. And when it was integrated into the new town of Evry, the commune was rapidly urbanised by means of suburban residences surrounding the original village and business parks along the main roads. Bondoufle is 7 km from the prefecture of Evry, 3 km from the Francilienne and 25 km fromOrly airport.

It is fully integrated into the Paris conurbation, and is located in the north-east of the Hurepoix natural region. The municipal territory covers 676 hectares, of which more than 48% is urbanised and built-up and 30% has retained a rural character, mainly in the west of the municipality. No natural watercourse crosses the territory, but gullies and basins have been built to drain the plateau and the Vanne and Loing aqueduct, particularly in the north in the Marinière industrial zone and in the south to connect the ponds. A pond also remains in the park in the Trois Parts district to the west and several rainwater retention basins have been dug in the Bordes business park to the south-west. A short underground section of the Vanne and Loing aqueduct runs through the extreme north-east of the area and supplies Paris with drinking water, flowing into the Montsouris reservoir.Bondoufle, Essonne, Île-de-France, France, nature
