The Workingmen's Cottages of Warren Place, built in 1878 in Brooklyn, were a cluster of 30 row houses flanking a garden mews. This "neighborhood within a neighborhood" was created by Alfred Tredway White, who set out to improve the living conditions of the urban poor. Courtesy of Taunton Press.
